HRSN Nutrition Supports

Some Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members can get extra help with healthy food.

Services You May Be Able to Get

  • Help learning about healthy eating
  • Meals made for your health needs
  • Fruits and vegetables. This benefit starts July 1, 2026. More information will be available soon.
  • Help stocking your pantry. This benefit starts July 1, 2026. More information will be available soon.

Who Can Get Nutrition Support?

You may qualify if you are in one of these groups:

  • You left a mental health or substance use treatment program in the past year.
  • You left jail, prison or another correctional setting in the past year.
  • You have ever been in foster care or another child welfare program.
  • You are moving from Medicaid to both Medicaid and Medicare. This can be within the next three months or during the past nine months.
  • You are at risk of losing your housing or do not have a safe place to live.
  • You are 19 to 26 years old and have special health care needs.

You may also:

  • Have a health condition that may improve with nutrition support.
  • Not always have enough food.
  • Meet with a registered dietitian if you are asking for medically tailored meals. The dietitian will create a nutrition care plan with you.

Most requests are reviewed within 14 to 28 days after we receive your application.
You can fill out the form yourself or ask someone you trust to help you. This could be your doctor, a family member, a friend or a community health worker.
