In 2021, the Oregon Health Authority required Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) to develop regional Comprehensive Behavioral Health Plans (CBHP). Umpqua Health engaged our community collaboratively in the development of our CBHP to establish the plan’s primary goals in three core areas:
- Enhancing access to behavioral health services,
- Ensuring continuous community collaboration, and
- Facilitating continuous improvement.
Our Priorities in Douglas County
Priority Area 1: Improve involvement in community housing initiatives to improve accessibility, affordability, and availability of housing for members with behavioral health concerns
Priority Area 2: Increase continuum of care and community capacity to provide behavioral health treatment at higher levels of care
Priority Area 3: Increase availability of behavioral health services through workforce development by engaging community stakeholders to create, promote, and support education & training initiatives.
